Knitting Kit - Herlighet Shawl
A collaboration between Toil & Trouble and The Sock Monkey, Josiah Bain!
Josiah designed the Herlighet in honor is his great-grandmother, Gloria. Herlighet is the Norwegian word for "Glory."
The shawl is crescent shaped with a garter-stitch based pattern inspired by birds in flight.
Techniques used: Short Rows, knitting into the stitch below, slipping stitches
Size: 21" wide by 52" long
Needles:
32-inch or longer US #6/4mm circular needle
32-inch or longer US #8/5mm circular needle (or a circular needle two sizes larger than the one used to obtain gauge)
Gauge: 18 sts/30 rows = 4” in garter stitch, worked on smaller needles, blocked
