Ocean's Edge Shawl - Digital Knitting Pattern

Ocean's Edge is the official shawl of the 2026 Knit North Yarn Crawl!

Play with color and texture in this cozy shawl - and it includes instructions on how to customize the size and make it bigger!

Colors Shown:

Inspired by the pebble-filled beaches of the northern coast of Massachusetts, this design plays with shadow and color to evoke gentle waves ebbing and flowing over smooth pebbles.

MATERIALS:
- Main Color: 2 skeins of Toil and Trouble Cadence or Harrisville Daylights
- Contrast Color: 1 skein of Toil and Trouble Cadence or 2 skeins Spincycle Dream State
- US 6 (4.00 mm) 32” (80 cm) circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge
- Stitch markers (optional but helpful)
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

GAUGE:
22 stitches x 31 rows in stockinette stitch before blocking

FINISHED DIMENSIONS:
62” (157.50 cm) across long x 30” (76 cm) deep after blocking

NEEDLES & NOTIONS:
- US 6 (4.00 mm) 32” (80 cm) circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge
- Stitch markers (optional but helpful)
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
